There is an interesting discussion about fishing contests percolating on Frank Daignault’s forum at StriperSurf.com. Frank is the author of six excellent books about striped bass fishing, including the classic how-to manual Striper Surf. The main controversy over tournaments is cheating, both proven and suspected, and Frank shares some tales from his years of watching contests and working as a weighmaster. One guy tried to bribe him with a case of beer.
