That was not just wishful thinking in my inaugural post: Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Studios has picked up the film rights to The Big One, and is working with producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (the duo behind Transformers) to bring it to the screen. It’s not lost on me that there’s already a great movie connecting Spielberg, the Vineyard and a big fish: Jaws.
